Hey guys! I forgot about doing wishlist Wednesday last week. So, this week I am going to post two books that are on my wishlist.
Wishlist Wednesday hosted by Pen to Paper is a book blog hop in which you post about one book per week that has been on your wishlist for a while or that was just recently added (entirely up to you) that you cannot wait to add to your shelves.
Wishlist #1: Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Synopsis: Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl.
Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future.
Cinder has been on my wishlist for a while now. I do own a copy of this on my e-reader and still have not read it. I would love to own the hardcover physical copies of these books. I am in love with the covers of this series.
Wishlist # 2 Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Lani Taylor
In a dark and dusty shop, a devil’s supply of human teeth grown dangerously low.
And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherworldly war.
Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real; she’s prone to disappearing on mysterious “errands”; she speaks many languages–not all of them human; and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that color. Who is she? That is the question that haunts her, and she’s about to find out.
When one of the strangers–beautiful, haunted Akiva–fixes his fire-colored eyes on her in an alley in Marrakesh, the result is blood and starlight, secrets unveiled, and a star-crossed love whose roots drink deep of a violent past. But will Karou live to regret learning the truth about herself?
This has been on my wishlist for a while now as well. It is the same thing. I own it on my e-reader and have yet to read it. I am in LOVE with these covers. Though I do like the U.K. covers. I would love to own physical hardcover copies of these books.
Overall, I have heard nothing but good things about both of these books (as well as the series as a whole) and I am so excited to read both. Since my birthday is right around the corner I am hoping that my husband and or my family will buy me both of these series in its entirety. We shall see. If any of you have read any of these books please let me know what you think. Also, let me know what is on your wishlists in the comments below.
